Ron Crossland, Chairman of Bluepoint Leadership Development

Ron has worked with talent from the boiler room to the boardroom, a range of experience that has taught him that, regardless of position, individuals' work matters. He has helped individuals, teams and organizations develop better leaders, create more innovation, forge better internal and external relationships and inspire greater performance.

Ron's interest in human behavior began while earning a Bachelor's in Electronics Engineering Technology. He learned in the high-tech lab that innovation and results came from teamwork as much as individual intellect. This propelled him to earn his MBA, majoring in organizational behavior and  development. He has applied his lessons in the business world, both as a four-time entrepreneur and while holding sales and management positions at NCR and AT&T. His work for multinational companies has earned him over 4 million miles of travel to eighteen countries. He has been an organizational consultant and educator since 1985.

He is a poet and writer, an intuitionist, a factoid junkie, a research synthesizer, and an amateur etymologist. He is a speaker for company meetings, industry association events, and other venues. Ron received his BS in Electronic Engineering Technology (1975) and his MBA (1977) from Oklahoma State University. He lives with his wife and two sons in Cincinnati, Ohio.

 
He is co-author of The Leader's Voice: How Your Communication Can Inspire Action and Get Results!. (New York: Select Books, 2002), now in its fifth printing. It has  received praise from The Harvard Communication Newsletter, Amazon’s “top ten reviewer’s” Robert Morris, and the Business Book Review.

Gregg Thompson, President of Bluepoint Leadership Development

Gregg Thompson has extensive experience as a business leader, operations manager, executive coach, trainer and management consultant.

 

Best described as a caring leader with a passion for individual and organizational development, he leads a talented group of people providing leadership education, training and coaching services to clients as diverse as Microsoft, HP, Towers Perrin, the IRS and the U.S. Army. Gregg is a gifted speaker, workshop leader and executive coach who brings a unique blend of business management and consulting experience to his clients. He is an engaging facilitator who is equally comfortable on the shop floor and in the corporate boardroom.

 

Gregg has invaluable experience as a senior leader in both publicly traded and privately held companies. He most recently served as the president and chief operating officer of a successful e-business applications company. He was also the president and chief operating officer of a leading environmental consulting company with 15 internationally based offices. He has completed projects in Canada, the USA, Britain, France, Peru, Mexico, Thailand, Taiwan, Australia, China and Argentina.

Gregg has also worked as a senior HR executive and has built a vibrant, independent leadership coaching practice. His broad business background has spanned 25 years in the technology, resources, manufacturing, environmental and financial sectors.

Gregg holds a Diploma in Operations Management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and a Master of Organization Development degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.

 

Bryn Meredith —President of Bluepoint Leadership Development (Canada) 
Bryn Meredith is the President of Bluepoint Leadership Development (Canada). Bryn has extensive experience as a business leader, entrepreneur, facilitator, speaker, and leadership development specialist.

 

An ex-professional squash player, Bryn emigrated from the UK to Canada in 1988, and proceeded to build one of the largest and most profitable chains of high-end fitness clubs in Canada. His passion has always been to continually find new ways and techniques to bring the best out of people, and to find ways to develop effective teams in both the sports and corporate environment.

 

Bryn strongly believes that leadership is a skill and an art that can be developed by anyone who is willing to learn. Leadership is a relationship and ultimately an act of faith in other people. As President of Bluepoint Canada he is continually working with his team to educate, coach and inspire people to be better leaders.

 

Bryn is a Certified Facilitator for "The Leadership Challenge", "The Leader's Voice", and "The Leadership Experience" as well as a behavioral science specialist. He graduated with honors from St. Paul's College in Cheltenham, England as a teacher of Physical Education and Mathematics in 1972. His stature in the sports world grew beyond his playing days to a significant role at a world level in event planning, TV productions and attracting sponsorship. He has delivered leadership training to Japan, Malaysia, Brazil, Mexico, and Europe as well as extensively in North America. He works with many Fortune 100 companies to either implement new leadership development initiatives or to complement existing internal programs. A partial list of recent clients include Magna, RBC, Celestica, Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, La-Z-Boy Manufacturing, the International Association of Business Communicators, the Mutual Fund Human Resources Group and the Engineering Human Resources Association.

Joshua M Freedman—A leading expert on improving performance by raising emotional intelligence

Director of the Institute for Organizational Performance, Joshua is an inspiring teacher. Anabel L Jensen, Ph.D.—Pioneering Emotional Intelligence Educator

An educational psychologist and author, Anabel has over 30 years experience as a pioneer in teaching emotional intelligence. President of Six Seconds and professor of education, Anabel Jensen, Ph.D., is a master teacher and a pioneer in emotional intelligence education. A two-time Federal Blue Ribbon winner for excellence in education, she was Executive Director of the Nueva School from 1983 to 1997 where she helped develop the Self-Science curriculum featured in Daniel Goleman’s 1995 bestselling book, Emotional Intelligence.

Dr. Jensen has co-authored two volumes of the Self-Science EQ Curriculum and two Handle With Care EQ Activity Books, written numerous articles, and trained over 10,000 educators and leaders around the globe. She has appeared in Priorities Magazine, Catalist Magazine, the Roeper Review, and on Discovery Channel; her speaking credits include keynote at national conferences in the US and abroad. Anabel received her Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1976. Her major was reading and language acquisition; her minors were psychology and statistics.

Anabel is an inspiring, caring speaker and teacher who helps people find the best in themselves and each other. Anabel says people pay attention to less than 30% of what you say, but 70% of what you do, so she models the lessons she teaches -- her graduate psychology courses at Notre Dame de Namur University are experiential, learner-centered, and emotionally engaging.
