The Emotionally Intelligent School

Excellence in Heart and Mind.

Teaching Emotional Intelligence (EQ) has been proven to improve relationships, productivity, health, lifelong success and academic performance. Enhance your school's effectiveness by

integrating EQ into the classroom and the school culture through the Self-Science approach. A research-based curriculum, Self-Science is heralded in Daniel Goleman's Emotional Intelligence book as one of two models for teaching EQ; it is a comprehensive, developmental approach to teaching the core skills children need to be more aware and emotionally adept.

Participants will leave with both a conceptual understanding and specific strategies to bring EQ to school. We will introduce why and how to bring EQ to the school with an emphasis on systems, practical tools, school culture, and role modeling. An engaging experience, this seminar will leave you ready to take action to create a more positive, effective school. Dynamic instruction, engaging activities, plus group work, laughter and learning add up to a powerful reinforcement of the essence of EQ.

Topics include:

What is emotional intelligence really?

Schooling the Emotions?

Integrating emotional intelligence.

An EQ School Culture.
